We get it. Want to get rid of YouTube and you want to do now. We are not here to judge (although these videos of the company party you downloaded probably did not help your career at all), we're just here to help. It's not like you need a YouTube account
to watch videos anyway, we're going to delete the account!
You can go two ways: remove all your Google accounts or simply delete your YouTube account. However, you can not have a "YouTube account" (also known as a YouTube channel). As YouTube is now owned by Google new users need a Google account to post videos on YouTube. Users with a YouTube account since ancient times (May 2009 or earlier) have since been asked to merge their YouTube and Google (or accounts that the company now insists on calling, your Google+ account, even if you totally avoid this aspect social networking Google). perhaps you want to kill this info YouTube without actually losing your access to Gmail, Blogger, Google Calendar, Google Drive, and more. We will help you with that too.
GO NUCLEAR ON YOUR ACCOUNTS
It is possible that you want to take the nuclear approach. To do this, simply go to the Google accounts "Edit Services" page. You can not delete your YouTube account only here, but you can click "Close account and delete all services and info associated with it" to clear your entire Google existence. This means that all your videos and all your Gmail messages , Blogger posts, Picasa photos uploaded, comments Google+, and more.
Before you go nuclear, make a stop at Google Dashboard. Here you can see an overview of each information associated with your Google Account bit. There are probably a lot more than you ever imagined. You will see how many videos you have downloaded a link to your favorite videos (if you have marked as such), even your complete viewing history. Maybe everything you need for peace of mind is to surf on this last link and clear your history to avoid incrimination.
Note the links to the right on this page. You can also enter and delete the search history on YouTube, or set all your preferences and subscriptions to private (under Manage privacy settings). You can pick up your social networks like Facebook and Twitter from YouTube (via Manage activity and link sharing), but this is not the link you use to get to Google+, you'll see that in the account YouTube management.
Only delete your YouTube account
If you've never programmed a Google+ account to your YouTube channel, you have it easy. Go to http://www.youtube.com/account and click the Advanced link under Account Information. You will see a big button on the next page that says "Close Account." Click on it and your YouTube videos and history (but not your Google history) will be toast.
However, Google forced nearly everyone with a YouTube channel and a Google account to associate the two back in 2011. (If you have not used your YouTube account since 2011 and you want to associate with a Google Account, click Account Settings, then click on "connection channel with Google+." Now, your full name appear on Google+ videos, instead of your YouTube ID.)
To delete only your YouTube info, you must separate your accounts. On the same page, click the link that ends with "disconnect Google+ profile."
By clicking will either allow you to return to your pre-2009 YouTube user name or create a new YouTube user that has nothing to do with Google+ name. Then you can follow the steps mentioned above: click Advanced and "Close account" to do with YouTube forever.
Seriously, this is forever. Once you click this button you can not get the videos back or recreate the account, subscriptions to it, or the comments left on it.
Incidentally, this separation works to kill your Google+ account, but keeping and YouTube. Separate them, and then close your Google+ account by going to Account Settings and scroll down the page, then clicking "Delete profile and remove related Google+ features." It will keep your YouTube channel in your new living separate user name. You can always join a Google+ account different later.
